Here's how to fix color issue.....
When i upgraded into windows 7, I found that some of my old favorite games like Road Rash or Age of empire 2 has serious color issue in windows 7. I could play the game but the color was fully messed up .I searched for the solution over the net....after some research ,i came to know that explorer.exe was the culprit. The new explorer in windows 7 messed up the color of these older games. So here's what did i do.......
You have to create a batch file in your games installation directory that kills explorer.exe ,starts your game and restarts explorer.exe . follow this........
1.Open notepad or your favorite text editor
2.Type 'taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe' and press enter
3.Type 'xxxxxx.exe' and press enter,[where xxxxxx.exe is the executable file to run the game]
4.Type 'start explorer.exe'
5.Then click File>save as....
6. File name should be like 'xxxxxx.bat' , select "all files" in the save as type drop down menu
7.Remember to save the file in your installation directory. If you create the file in another directory then cut>paste the file in your installation directory.
8.Double click the batch file you created to run the game ......

installation directory is the directory where your game exe remains...... say you installed age of empire under d:\aoe and the game exe that you double click to start the game is in that directory- then place the bat file in d:\aoe\

go to task manager and end the explorer process..then open run n browse to the roadrash directory n run the original roadrash exe...it wl work normally
